In these conditions ‘Company’ means ‘registered carrier’, ‘Hirer’ means person or Company to which accounts are rendered. Vehicle means the vehicle which is being used to deliver or collect the skip which is subject to the contract. ‘Driver’ means the driver of the vehicle and ‘site’ means the address where the skip is being deposited with the guidance and direction of the hirer.
1. No agent or employee of Worldcare Wales Ltd is permitted to alter or vary these conditions in anyway unless previously agreed by all parties.
2. The company will endeavour to comply with the hirer’s requirements but can accept no responsibility for failure to supply, or for any delay in supplying skips which may be caused directly or indirectly by any circumstances beyond the company’s control.
3. The hirer shall direct the driver on where to deliver the skip or operate equipment, however, the driver is under no obligation to follow instructions that he/she feels are unsafe and may compromise the safety of persons or equipment.
4. It is the responsibility of the hirer to notify the company of the need for a permit. It is not the responsibility of the company to check the ownership and rights of each individual plot of land. It is therefore essential that the hirer ensures that all permissions required before skips can lawfully be deposited on the site/highway including the council licence have been or will be obtained before they direct the driver to deposit the skip. The hirer will be liable for any fines. The hirer will be required to pay for the permit at the time of booking.
5. The hirer shall not move the skip, or make any difficulties in accessing the skip without consent of Worldcare Wales Ltd
6. The hirer must ensure that the following items are not placed in the skip:
Failure to comply may mean that the items are removed from the skip at the site or returned to the hirer’s property at the hirers cost or an additional charge levied for any specialist disposal that maybe required. (Asbestos will be removed by appropriately licenced contractors and any such costs, including testing costs will be payable by the hirer). Natural Resources Wales will be notified under the environmental protection act 1990 of this action.
7. The hirer shall ensure that from the time the skip is delivered until the time that it is collected again by the Company:
a) It is properly sited in accordance with the permission given by land owners or contracted tenants.
b) No fires are lit in it
c) It is filled no higher than to the top of its sides
d) It suffers no damage except for reasonable wear and tear
8. The customer shall ensure free and suitable access to and from the delivery address and ensure suitable ground conditions for the delivery of equipment or heavy vehicle movements. No responsibility will be accepted for the damage to any surface over which the equipment or vehicle directed by the hirer on site to reach the destination. The customer should therefore take steps to protect the surface. Any wasted journeys when delivering, exchanging or collecting skips will incur additional charges to the hirer.
9. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the duration for which any skip can be hired shall not exceed 28 days. For each week that exceeds the 28 days hire, a charge of £10.00 (plus vat) per week will be incurred in addition to a £50 late payment charge (If the individual has not paid).
10. The markings on the skip, including the reflector signs and any lights are not to be defaced, removed or interefered with in any way.
11. Upon payment and collection of the skip the company will dispose of the contents of the skip. All waste will be taken to our treatment centre for sorting before transferring separated waste streams to licenced waste disposal/recycling sites.
12. Unless the hirer is an account customer, all invoices will be paid prior to delivery/exchange of the skip.
13. A skip hire fee applies to one skip hire only within the 28 days of hire. If you require any skip exchanges within the 28 days, a further payment will be required to cover the hire of the subsequent skips.
14. Worldcare Wales Ltd reserves the right to collect a skip that has been on hire for longer than 28 days.
15.The skip shall remain the property of Worldcare Wales Ltd and the and any person authorised by them shall be permitted at all reasonabe times to enter the premises on which the skip is situated, for the purposes of inspecting the skip and its contents. The hirer must not unduly withold access to the skip.
16. The hirer shall take responsibility for any cones and lights left with the skip. Any loss or damage will be added to the hire charge. The hirer should inform Worldcare Wales Ltd immediately of any loss of lights or cones.
17. The hirer will indemnify Worldcare Wales Ltd against all costs, expenses, losses or other liability to any person arising out of any breach of these conditions.
